Drone One //
This was my first personal project that I worked on:
Battery: Multistar High Capacity 6S 10000mAh Multi-Rotor Lipo Pack
Motor: Turnigy Multistar 4822-390Kv 22Pole Multi-Rotor Outrunner
Speed Controller(ESC): Afro ESC 30Amp OPTO Multi-Rotor Motor Speed Controller
Flight Controller: Ardupilot APM 2.6 clone
Frame: Tarot 650 sport w/ retractable landing skid
Propellers: Multirotor Carbon Fiber Propeller 15x4 Black (CW/CCW) (2pcs)
I originally tried to use a 4 in 1 ESC but they were all junk and were broken out of the package so i used 4 individual ESCs.
I also originally used 15x5.5 propellers after my first tests flying(below) I had little control over the drone since it was creating too much turbulence. I later changed the props to 15x4, which worked perfectly. I now have good control over the drone.
-Use the GPS to set way points for autonomous flight
-Use a FPS camera while flying(I have the camera purchased just need to put it on)
-Attach an electric air soft gun and shoot targets to put the drone's stability and control to the test.
-Make various other attachments for carrying objects.
I didn't document my process for design, however, my future projects will have more documentation and a list of sources where I got my information from.
I will eventually have better videos of my good flights. I just haven't recorded anything recently:
